hold on. What is a brand identity?
Glad you asked! This is kind of my jam. Your brand identity is how you shape what your audience thinks, feels and says about your brand. And it goes far beyond your logo design! It's a combination of clearly defined goals, values, personality attributes, and style preferences that is unique to your business.
So, hOW ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE MY COPY SOUND LIKE ME?
Part of my #WordNerd status includes a knack for picking up on the language and tone nuances that make people sound unmistakably themselves. If you’re building a personal brand, this is so essential! During the discovery process, I use questionnaire responses, conversations, existing material and some online sleuthing to draw out what makes your voice distinct and apply it to your copy. The we refine and polish during the editing process!
WHY SHOULDN’T I JUST WRITE MY OWN COPY?
If you love to write, have the time and are confident that you can whip up words that’ll draw in customers like crazy – go for it! You absolutely should write your own copy! However, if you don’t feel savvy when writing for your brand, aren’t sure about the science behind copywriting, or are strapped for time like most business owners...it may be time to hire out and get it off your overflowing plate.
WHAT TYPE OF CLIENTS DO YOU WORK WITH?
I’ve worked with dozens of businesses from a long list of industries, but they all have one common denominator: an undeniable enthusiasm for their work. Most of my clients come from the event, creative services, hospitality and e-commerce industries. Think designers, shop owners, event planners and restaurateurs!
DO THE COPYWRITING SERVICES INCLUDE SEO AND KEYWORD RESEARCH?
Yes! Google (aka, the king of SEO) is constantly improving their algorithms to reward websites that sound original, natural and relevant. My goal is to make your copy appealing for humans while working in the phrases that search engine spiders need to understand and rank your content.
Why make the investment?
Developing your brand identity is like creating a roadmap for for business's future. Not only will it make decision-making a breeze, but it'll ensure that your vision and values are communicated to your audience. The result? Loyal, engaged customers that believe in your vision, and want to share it with others. That kind of makes it the most important investment you can make. (Okay...I may be a little biased. But it's true!)
